"Me-no's Gift"
A Children Story for Everyone

Wiggly's Publications proudly announces the first edition of the book: Me-no's Gift. The first of several books written to help us bond with our children. Stories are a way of bonding---between the young and old.

Some stories are best told by some one who loves and is loved---sharing adventures, looking at beautiful pictures, becoming wise and knowledgeable together.

Children learn not only by observing but also by sharing their own stories about similar adventures and ideas. Bonding books encourage all forms of storytelling.

Me-no's Gift is a charming children story, which combines imagination, lovable characters and inspirational messages. The illustrations enhance the text and make the story come alive. At the end of several chapters, our messages help children deal with some of life's challenges. This book is a perfect book for bonding with parents and grandparents, or for teachers to read to their students and use as a basis for discussion and writing.

Congratulations! A truly glorious book! You and your team have done a wonderful job of bringing your ideas and writing to life. The illustrations strike me as just right---dramatic and ample and friendly. It is an expert job of book making. The mirror in the back is pure genius. Jim Russell

The little book “Me-no’s Gift” is such a delight. Every child should have a copy to brighten their days and lives. This story and Me-no’s journey helps realize that the gift of life is the most precious of all. We all enjoy stories and this will teach us the importance of being storytellers. This special book will touch many lives. Love is important in our lives, especially in the lives of children. This book is precious.

“A real author is coming to our class!” boasted my third graders to their friends. Mr. Gallegos stayed the day and he read his stories. The kids knew that he really cared about them. He was just for a day, but he left a lasting gift. Me-No’s Gift gives children and adults the opportunity to go on a wonderful adventure. We travel with Me-no and his friends, but along the way we stop to reflect on our own stories. We can talk and share or write about the connections we make with the characters. It is a thrill when children make meaningful connections with text. It happens with this book. I know because five months after my students heard the story, as we were outside walking, the kids began to talk about Pegasus, a character in the book. They were searching the clouds hoping to glimpse the mythical creature. The story had been an experience that touched emotions, something to be remembered. The book is still a favorite and is passed from student to student during independent reading. Just like Patrick Gallegos promised, magic did happen when I read Me-no’s Gift to “my children” at school. We made connections with the text, and as we shared our own stories we made wonderful, warm, caring connections with each other and ourselves. Teacher-to-student, student-to-student, and student-to-self. It was a magical team building, self-reflecting opportunity.

Me-no’s Gift is a delightful story, which elicits creative thinking on the part of the reader. Wonderfully illustrated, it captures the interest and imagination of children and encourages the readers to reflect on life’s challenges. When read to children by an adult, both reader and listener discuss how to overcome imaginary fears and learn to accept themselves and others. The story also gives thought to the true treasures of life. Me-no’s Gift is an excellent book for adults to read to children. It works well in families, elementary school settings and in classes where children benefit from expressing thoughts and feelings. All who read Me-no’s Gift will benefit.

We read Me-no’s Gift with out daughter Stephanie. We believe it was a great experience. The idea of the book is pure genius. We loved the stories and at the end was a story telling of our own. Stephanie asked many questions of us. The book truly opens up communications between parents and their children. My favorite was “Pretty Face Hippa.” I think Stephanie’s favorite is “Wiggly the Squirrel.” As we read it, we made the animals real people. We believe this book fits all walks of life, as there are so many parables within each story. We can’t wait to read the next.

Me-no’s Gift is a wonderful book. The characters and illustrations really tell a story. As senior citizens and grandparents, what we really liked about the book is that it forces parents to talk and listen to their children. And that is exactly what is needed today. We loved it

I want to thank you for the personalized autographed book, Me-No's gift. I am looking forward in reading this to my precious children(grand). What a beautiful story and I am so grateful for this book. Your acknowledgements struck a chord with me. You have touched my life deeply in the acknowledgements and this book. I truly understand! Maybe I could relate with your mother Rose. And Wiggly- - - - to know how you feel in the loss of a child. To be able to write a book through your trials, to understand and help others through this wonderful story. How healing this must be for you. WOW! My dear friend Pam Payne whom shared your original book with me has been my mentor as well. One of your books made it to school (2nd grade class) with one of mine. The teacher read it everyday. Thank you so much Patrick for this book and helping others. I do hope this book makes its way into every household with children.

It has been a very long time since I have read a book with my children that draws from their imagination as well as the authors’. Me-No’s Gift is a nightly favorite for my entire family. The magic of the book in my home is my 17 year old daughter reading to my 9 year old daughter and sharing experiences with her. Me-No’s Gift is a must have for anyone fortunate enough to be able to share time with a child of any age. These enchanting tales and accompanying artwork are mesmerizing. My family and I look forward to continuing adventures from this brilliantly creative author.

Dear Pat, A very special thanks you to a very special person. We cannot thank you enough for sharing your wonderful book with our family. My son Michael who is 9 and I have read your book several times already. This is the first book we have read together that encourages the readers to expand the stories with their own thoughts and imagination. We have also spent time discussing the message behind each story in our own interruption. It is amazing what new things you discover about your child when you take the time to listen to their thoughts. Your book is magical and together we have laughed, but more important, it has created special memories and time together. We would say good luck, but instead we want say "CONGRATULATIONS" your book is a success in our family! We look forward to reading your next books.
Sincerely,
The Pappas Family

Dear Reader, Me-no’s Gift is a wonderful way to bring children of all ages together and closer to the adults around them. Each story is an enchanting tale full of imagery and enlightenment that the young and young at heart can appreciate. The illustrations are beautifully done and the words leap off the page and into your imagination. It is a rare gift when something can bring us closer to our children, look deep within ourselves, and share our inner most thoughts and feelings. Me-no’s Gift is one of those gifts which should be cherished and shared over and over again.
